Creating Subhires
Top  Previous  Next

Subhires are pieces of equipment that you are borrowing or renting from other companies, and these work in a similar fashion to equipment list. The main difference is that a subhire adds to the availability of equipment for a specified period instead of subtracting from the inventory like an equipment list. RentalDesk will track your subhired equipment in order to keep track of all equipment, regardless of the owner.

To create a Subhire, select newsubhire from the data action buttons.

A new subhire is created which will look similar to a normal equipment list. You ill be taken straight to the address tab to allow you to select the supplier name.

Once the supplier is selected you can go back to the main subhire page header.

Set your start and end dates for when you will be in possession of the equipment, and because a subhire works like an equipment list, you will also set the status for the subhire. You will then begin selecting equipment to be placed on the subhire. See Placing Equipment onto a list for instructions.

Once the equipment has arrived, you will need to create a dispatch note, which will create a Goods In Receipt for the order. See Dispatching Equipment to a Customer for instructions.

Once the Subhire is created, you may wish to then create a Purchase Order for the Subhire. To create the Purchase Order, select the doorderingbutton button on the subhire.
