External Documents

The External Documents branch is used to configure RentalDesk to interface with your choice of word processor. The settings are:

Document Extension

The document extension used by your word processor package (ie for word .doc)

Document Shared Save Path

This path should be the same for all users of the system. It would normally be a mapped network drive and should have either the same network path such as h:\rentaldocs or a unc path. If the server machine is also being used as a workstation, it will be necessary to create a local mapped drive to the same place as the workstations use.

Document Template

This is the location and name of the standard template file you would like to be used when creating a new document.(ie c:\template.dot)
