A transaction in RentalDesk is a "Job". A Job is an event that has a start date and an end date. Within a job you can create multiple equipment lists or groups of equipment depending on your specific needs. As an example, The Smith Wedding , which sets up on May 15, and returns on May 18 would be a Job. Equipment that needs to delivered and set up on May 15th would be one equipment list, while equipment that would be delivered on May 17th could be another equipment list. Any time there is a difference in the number of days or delivery location, you will need to create a new equipment list.
Typically, the process for a rental is to:
1. Create the Job with:
a. the customer name.
b. the customers address.
c. the job start date and the job end date.
2. Create the Equipment List with:
a. The equipment send out date and the return date.
b. The Delivery Location.
c. The Equipment to be rented with pricing for the time period.
3. (Option)Create a Quotation.
4. Check Equipment Out and create a Dispatch or Delivery Note.
