Translation

RentalDesk includes a multi-language dictionary function which allows the user to customize almost all of the verbiage used in RentalDesk. This is useful if you use another language besides English, or use different terms and phrases in your business.

To change the translation on your machine, you will need to understand some terms.

Form

basically a book or panel. So, when you open the Job Book, you are opening a form that is the Job Book.

Component

a control, which could be a button or an edit box. So, if you wanted to relabel the "Jobs" button to display "Rentals", you would need to find the component for the Job button and enter rental in the local language column.

Native Language

The language used in RentalDesk as written by the programmers.

Local Language

The Local Language is what the Native Language is translated and then displayed in the program. If the field is empty, then the Native Language will be displayed.

Open the translation tool on the Advanced Interface Design branch of the configuration book.

Make the desired changes and then press the

button. You will need to restart RentalDesk to put the changes into effect
