One reason to clone a Job is where the actual show will repeat - and be largely unchanged other than the dates.

 

An example is a tour where the equipment and crewing requirements stay the same and you wish to keep the finances together so that you can ascertain the profitability over the entire tour, and have the information kept together, but the ability to vary each tour date to meet the specific venue requirements.
