The Testing Module in HireTrack allows you to define both physical and electrical tests for every Type of equipment that has already been entered in the Equipment Book.  Electrical tests are supported for Barron McCann and Seaward PAT Testers. In addition, the testing schedule for each item to be tested can be scanned into the tester using a barcode reader. The results for each test are stored against the item tested in the database and a test certificate can be printed for any item that has passed all its tests. Items which fail any tests are prohibited from being scanned out for hire if they are accidentally selected from stock.  To stop a person carrying out a test from falsifying results, access to the pages which define pass results can be restricted.

The Testing Module requires some configuration before you can use it. Just as the testing process itself requires a measure of expertise, so too with Testing: you need to have some technical knowledge in the areas of  health & safety, good working practices, and hire management.  This manual is therefore designed to instruct the user how to configure and use the Testing Module; it does not deal will the technicalities of the testing process, nor does it recommend how tests should be configured and applied.
