The Setup tab is used to configure almost all of the financial information related to companies or people. Some settings will need to be configured before they can be assigned to customers, and these settings are configured in the Software Configuration Tab.

 

Your accounting information must be setup before you can assign it to a company, and a company must be created in the Address Book before you can assign accounting information.

A/C Status - Determine the companies account status by selecting from the dropdown window.
Notes - A place to enter notes about this company. These notes will appear in the General Tab of the Job Book and the Address Book for that company.
Account Ref - A short company code (12 characters) for the selected company. Usually needed when exporting to accounting software.
Extended Acc Ref - A long company code for the selected company. Usually needed when exporting to accounting software.
Account Limit - For Future Use
Anti-Fraud - Setting for this customer's anti-fraud settings.
Default Tax - A default tax may be set for each customer. This tax is site specific for multi-site users, so a company could be non-taxable in one site, and taxable in another.
Best Payment Terms - Select the Purchase (Get) payment terms and the Payment (Give) terms for this company. This customer will then be assigned to these terms or lesser terms. In other words, if you grant a customer 30 day terms that customer will also have the option of receiving 15 days or 0 days terms, but that customer cannot receive 60 or 90 day terms.
Insurance - Enter the Expiration Date of the Customer's Insurance on this sub tab. This information will appear on General Page of the Job Book when this company is selected for a job.
Extended Pricing - If you have configured extended pricing in the Inventory Book, you can select that extended price to be used for this company. This facilitates the method for creating "price books" or being able to assign special pricing to specific customers.
Discounts - Discounts we get will appear on all purchase orders as an additional discount. Discounts we give will appear on invoices. The Hire Discount will appear on equipment lists as the default discount for that equipment list.
Venue Commission - This is the expected commission to be paid to a specific venue for each cost center.
