There are several methods of calculating pricing in HireTrack NX.
The basic system consists of a lookup between the number of days ( Hiredays, which is usually the number of calendar days between the Date Out of an Equipment List and the Date Back of an equipment list) the hire is for which is then converted to a chargeable days figure by the price scheme used and then finally multiplied by the daily rate.
For instance a 3 day week hire scheme typically used by most companies is as follows:
Length of Hire |
Days Charged |
1 |
1 |
2 |
2 |
3 |
3 |
4 |
3 |
5 |
3 |
6 |
3 |
7 |
3 |
8 |
4 |
9 |
5 |
10-14 |
6 |
So a £10 per day item is charged as:
Length of Hire (Calendar Days) |
Days Charged |
1 |
10 |
2 |
20 |
3 |
30 |
4 |
30 |
5 |
30 |
6 |
30 |
7 |
30 |
8 |
40 |
9 |
50 |
10-14 |
60 |
The conversion between the length of the Hire and the chargeable days is set by the Price scheme of which there are several types.
