If you are using barcoded equipment there is an option to use global returns.
If the equipment was scanned out, the computer will know which barcodes are on which jobs and so scanning them onto a global returns note will return them against the correct original equipment list.
This DOES NOT WORK FOR NON BARCODED ITEMS as the computer does not know which list say a set of unbarcoded 16A TRS cables have come from - so it cannot process the equipment.
General returns are grouped by 'Sessions' which represent a group of scans being done at one time.
To create a new General Returns note select the 'New Returns Session' button
Give the session a name by over typing the general title
then scan or type in the required barcode(s)
If there are any issues, the system will prompt you with any problems
in this example equipment was scanned in error that was actually in a prep bay waiting to go out.
Once the problems are dealt with scanning again will retry the operation
here another issue has been encountered.
In this instance here at the main warehouse equipment that was actually due to be back at the lighting warehouse was scanned, the system offers three options on how to deal with this. In this instance it was decided to act as if this was the lighting warehouse and the equipment will be returned there later.
At the end of the scanning session the paperwork is then completed for all the scanned equipment and it is shown at the lower part of the screen.
in this example check in note CHK41 and returns note RTN40 were auto created for the return of equipment on Eqlist ref J264EQ4
