Testing and Servicing

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

The Testing & Servicing page is the page where you actually carry out tests and where you record all servicing for an item. It has been split into two separate pages for ease of viewing.  The Testing displays information related to the PAT testing done on this item. The Servicing displays the service history for this item and may also be accessed from the equipment book. Only the items displayed in the top grid can be tested or have their servicing records updated. If a particular type of equipment does not appear in this list, then you must first setup a test on the Configure Equipment Tab.

Selecting Items

When you open Testing & Servicing the grid displays all the items which have had a servicing schedule defined. You may limit the items which appear using the filters. Filters can be important for three reasons:

a.They enable you to select equipment for testing/servicing according to their type, location, or most recent equipment list.
b.They enable you find all the items which are due for testing or servicing for by a specified date or by their next job.
c.They enable you to create a “set” of items to be PAT tested. Then the testing schedule for each item can be sent in a “bulk upload” to a Seaward tester.

There are 4 filters available to find the equipment for which you may be looking. The first filter ignores the testing and service information and allows you to search for specific types of equipment, equipment in a specific location, or on a specific equipment list.

To use this filter, you will need to select the parameter you require and turn on the filter by selecting that filter. These filters may be used together to display the exact equipment for which you are searching (i.e. a Meyer UPA-1c in the Las Vegas warehouse)

Located directly below this filters is the PAT Test Filter.

This will display equipment that matches the parameters you have specified. To see a list of equipment requiring PAT Testing before a specific date, select the date and select “Requires PAT Testing Before”. If you wish to see a list of equipment that Failed it’s last test, then select this choice.

Below the PAT Test Filter is the Physical Test Filter.
