The Job Reference Number is automatically generated by HireTrack NX and is a sequential number. You configure your starting number in the HireTrack NX Configuration Utility. You may also specify a prefix and a suffix for the Job Reference. The default prefix is "J", so the first job would be J1, then J2, and so forth. Multi-site users will typically use the suffix to denote the Site location of the job. A rule setting in the Configuration Utility is available to set the Job Reference to be non-editable by any user.

 

The Job Title is used to give the job a name that distinguishes it from other jobs. Typically this is a unique identifier which your customer would recognize.
